At The Back of Vogue's Wardrobe...

After a long four weeks, my project has finally been completed and handed in, and I now anxiously await my marks. In the meantime, December is quickly approaching, and is in desperate need of revamping, so after tonights shower, I decided to get down to some serious business. While doing so, I came across some wonderful little pieces I bought a few years back, and have never worn…

I ended up wearing this beauty out today with Jeans and two chunky knits from the legend that is Topshop. An absolutely divine find that is so this season!

Im not so sure about this top. To throw or not to throw? Thats the question…
Another beauty find I never knew I had. High waisted polka dot shorts originally from River Island With the cutest belt!

First Sewing Project!

College has been hectic this last week. Tomorrow is the deadline for a monstrous amount of work - essays, sketchbook work, research, sketches, taster files, evidence documents, evaluations, disitations, and of course - my sewing project.

Inspired by the 1960's and modelled by one of my best friends, Holly. Here is my very first sewing Projects - The Jumpsuit!

Proportions

Girl to bag proportion=perfection. I mentioned I liked vintage bags, right? A bag is something to carry your life around in, so it must be cute. As long as I don't fall over...

Artist Spotlight

My favorite movement in art (however brief it was) is Art Nouveau. One noted illustrator from this period is Aubrey Vincent Beardsley. While much of his work (especially the earlier portion) can tend to be sinister in nature; the images are dark and subversive (making him perhaps the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau movement) they are rendered in such a delicate and fluid style that I admire.

How to rock the unwearable

I'm trying to wear things that I don't usually from my wardrobe. I bought this shirt at the end of summer in the sale at Urban Outfitters and I don't think I've worn it since I bought it. I remember thinking, "Oh this is classic" and liking the details round the necks, but it just didn't translate easily into my everyday wardrobe.

So I guess I could rock it simply with black bodycon skirt and my 'Alice In Wonderland' flats:
